He Delivers!

Mark 11:12-25/26 - great passage....

Mark 11:22-25:  22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

When we decided to finally offer ourselves, our lives, our relationships to this ministry - we knew that everything we have for the ministry will have to come directly from God.  Yes, we are a blessed family and have everything we need, and lots of luxury compared to most of the worlds population.  But one thing we don't have is an abundance of money to buy whatever we want.  We're what America calls "middle class" which basically means that you can pay your basic bills, eat fast food once in a while, and hopefully afford the gas to drive back and forth to work....lol.

So we have went into this thing in full humility and in absolute reliance on prayer for God to give us what we need.  And what a faith builder this has been!

I must admit that Dean had a lot more faith than I did in the beginning....but I'm really getting the hang of this believing God to give what we NEED to do HIS WILL ;)

I just wanted to tell you guys a little of what He has provided to us in the past 2 weeks:

3 folding tables for outreaches
5 cases of drinks (the next day after we prayed for them)
buns and bread so much that we can't even walk through our house (we have been able to donate to a local Christian daycare and the Durham Crisis Response Center in addition to our regular neighborhoods)
50 bags of chips (2 days after we prayed for them we got 38 bags in one pop)
snacks, snacks and more snacks (we go through these like crazy in the neighborhoods with the kids)
2 cases of eggs (2 days after we prayed for them)
10 gallons of milk (the SAME day I cleaned out the fridge and told God I was ready for the milk He was going to send)
a deep freezer
over 400 hot dogs/red hots/sausages (the next day after we prayed for them)
a possible connection on a trailer to carry all of our outreach supplies in
a volunteer to help us get a voice amplifier for getting God's Word out loud and clear

We have gotten to the point where we know that if we ask God for it and He plans to use it for His ministry, then we'll be getting it pretty soon.

Isn't God good???

In all of this though....we pray utmost that we use what He gives us the way that He wants, and that at no point do we take responsibility for getting these items.  We must stay humble and thankful at all times.

Loving Radically Through Christ,

Melissa

*P.S. - yes one day Dean will get to post....as soon as we get a computer at home.  We have internet right now, but a sick computer....lol.*
