Current Urgent Ministry Needs

Howdy guys reading our blog :)

We have run into the current following needs with locals in our area.  Please help if you can :)

We try our hardest to meet every valid need - but sometimes we just can't do it by ourselves.  We need fellow believers to band together as the body of Christ and help out if possible.

*  Food for families - as fast as we get food on our food pantry shelf - we get calls for food boxes....praise God that He continues to provide and we are continued to be entrusted with the folks He sends our way!  We always try and get the Word of God to the people we help in some way...whether it be in direct conversation, praying for needs of the families, putting flyers in the food boxes, putting labels on the bread, etc.

*  Used but good working condition washing machine - a family that we're really close to from the local trailer park had their washing machine go out this week - it won't spin at all....and with 4 kids, that's really NOT a good thing!  If you have one that you're willing to donate or sell for very cheap - please let us know ASAP and we'll arrange pickup.

*  Boys tennis shoes - from sizes 2 to 5 - there is a very poor family we've met in the trailer park that has 4 boys and live with another family in a singlewide trailer.  They had to leave their prior trailer and move in with the other family due to the unliveable conditions in the house.  We love these boys very much and they are always out to hang out and listen to us when we go out weekly.  On Monday I asked one of the brothers about needing shoes and he said yes very enthusiasticly - and I told him I would try and work on getting him some.  Then he asked with bright eyes "You mean NEW shoes?" and I said "Do you ever get new shoes?" and he told me that he didn't.

Now I know that new shoes are not a big deal in the eyes of our Lord.  He wants our heart....our lives....our entire being.  He wants to be number one....not our possessions.  But if we were able to provide this family of 4 brothers with new shoes.....just wow.....they would know that we truly love them out of Jesus' love with no strings attached.

(If you decide that you are able to help with a pair of shoes and you would like to meet the boys and hand deliver them - we would LOVE to facilitate that!!!)

Again - please help if you can.  As Christians our desire is to model our Lord and Savior Jesus....who said:

John 12:25-26 - 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

"PRAY"

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and PRAY, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
                                                                                                                                     2 Chronicles 7:14

We have been having bible study at our house on Thursday nights but, have been really impressed by the Lord that we need to "PRAY".  Our desire is to see the supernatural power of God move in our ministry. God has really blessed us with food and other physical necessities for people, and we are very thankful for this. But it only scratches the surface of what God wants to do in these peoples lives. God not only wants to help the physical but His ultimate will is to reach the heart and soul. God wants to take us deeper into His will and into His vast supply for humanity.  Amen?  Take note in the scripture above that it begins with an "IF"... if what?  "If my people shall HUMBLE themselves..." implying that we need to let go of our pride and our ways and seek His ways. Next it says to "PRAY". Prayer is the catalyst that moves God's hand, it is when we pray that He responds, not because we pray well or are very eloquent when we pray. It is the act of obedience to pray that moves Him. "Seek my face".  How do we recognize someone we know?  Do we look at their feet? No, we look into their face. God is saying "Recognize who I am, I am righteousness and holiness, seek my way and turn from your on wicked ways."  Then He says He will hear, forgive our sins and heal our land.  Why would he say heal our land?  Land was and is used to produce a harvest.  I believe God is saying He will heal our unproductive lives and help us produce a harvest we can't even contain!  God wills to move but He is saying to us, "If my people shall humble themselves and pray, then........!"  If you feel stirred in your heart to join us on Thursday nights to pray, then come join us and expect a mighty move of God's Spirit!  God Bless All His Saints!
