Henderson Family In Need

We have been made aware of a family in need, through a mutual friend.

A mother of 9 children passed away while giving birth to her 10th child.  At this point no determination has been made as to where all of the children will go.  I believe they are staying with their grandmother and/or their uncle, and the newborn baby will be going to the father.  The catch is, the grandmother is also ill and has recently been hospitalized for heart problems.

If you would please pray about this situation, we would greatly appreciate it.  Also if you feel led to buy school supplies, school clothes or school shoes for any of these children, please get in touch with me via email at radicallifeoutreach@yahoo.com or phone 919-224-7038.

Upcoming Crosswalk - AUGUST 29th

Dean has taken off of work on Friday, August 29th to go out and share the Gospel on another Crosswalking Evangelism Event.  We hope to have friends coming up from Asheboro, and we hope to have YOU coming along also.

He has not decided on a location yet, as he always prays beforehand and tries to go where he feels the Spirit is leading him.

Please call or text him at 919-665-8997 if you would be interested in going with him.  He can keep you updated on the meeting time and place.

Also we continue our (every other) Tuesday night Kids Club in Oxford...this coming Tuesday will be on the Boots of the Gospel of Peace.  From Ephesians 6:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak

Continue to pray for us...as said in verses 19 and 20 above...for the crosswalk, for the kids club, for our daily life:  "Make supplication also for me, that words may be given to us in opening our mouths boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which we are ambassors in chains, that we may declare it boldly, as we ought to speak."

Why Yes, It Has Been THREE Months Since I've Posted!!

I know, I know - I should be hung out to dry for not posting...but I'm just a facebook girl at heart that we post everything regarding the ministry there...from pictures, to events, to updates, to need requests.

But for those that still read the blog, I wanted to give a quick update.

We have begun the kids club in Oxford.  We have started out by doing the Armor of God and we are having a great time!  We are meeting every other Tuesday night at the building for the Oxford Housing Authority.  Turnout has been great - especially since we just started!!  We've have between 20 and 25 kids each night so far.

We have some great helpers and workers and everyone is putting forth wonderful effort to get the life-changing message of Jesus out to these kids.

If you would like pictures forwarded to you, or specific needs requests, or a schedule of events for the kids club, please email us at radicallifeoutreach@yahoo.com and let us know!

And what else is going great and getting ready to gear back up for me??

HOMESCHOOLING!!!

It's already that time of year again (and probably the main reason why I didn't have any posts here over the summer.)  This has been my first year ever having both kids at home with me full time.

With that being said, we will be trying Alex out with the homeschooling also.  And they will be starting NEXT WEEK!!!  Ahh.....let the lesson plans and early mornings begin again!

(I will be posting a review of an online curriculum for Alex soon, in case anyone else out there is thinking of homeschooling and wants to see what this one is like.  I'm going to try out www.time4learning.com for a month or so and see how it goes.  So be on the lookout for my post on that!!)

Please keep me/us in your prayers, as always...for the outreach ministry and the homeschooling ministry ;)

Melissa
