"PRAY"

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and PRAY, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
                                                                                                                                     2 Chronicles 7:14

We have been having bible study at our house on Thursday nights but, have been really impressed by the Lord that we need to "PRAY".  Our desire is to see the supernatural power of God move in our ministry. God has really blessed us with food and other physical necessities for people, and we are very thankful for this. But it only scratches the surface of what God wants to do in these peoples lives. God not only wants to help the physical but His ultimate will is to reach the heart and soul. God wants to take us deeper into His will and into His vast supply for humanity.  Amen?  Take note in the scripture above that it begins with an "IF"... if what?  "If my people shall HUMBLE themselves..." implying that we need to let go of our pride and our ways and seek His ways. Next it says to "PRAY". Prayer is the catalyst that moves God's hand, it is when we pray that He responds, not because we pray well or are very eloquent when we pray. It is the act of obedience to pray that moves Him. "Seek my face".  How do we recognize someone we know?  Do we look at their feet? No, we look into their face. God is saying "Recognize who I am, I am righteousness and holiness, seek my way and turn from your on wicked ways."  Then He says He will hear, forgive our sins and heal our land.  Why would he say heal our land?  Land was and is used to produce a harvest.  I believe God is saying He will heal our unproductive lives and help us produce a harvest we can't even contain!  God wills to move but He is saying to us, "If my people shall humble themselves and pray, then........!"  If you feel stirred in your heart to join us on Thursday nights to pray, then come join us and expect a mighty move of God's Spirit!  God Bless All His Saints!
